Tanzanian Screen 12 B/C Robusta coffee, a commercial-grade, comprises small beans (12/64 inches, ~4.8 mm) from Coffea canephora varietals, grown at 800-1,400m in regions like Kagera and Bukoba near Lake Victoria. Primarily natural-processed, whole cherries are sun-dried for 10-21 days, emphasizing earthy flavors. The cup offers low acidity, a light body, and simple notes of dark chocolate, roasted nuts, and strong woody earth, with a short, slightly astringent finish. Scoring 78-80 SCA, Tanzanian Screen 12 B/C is used in low-cost blends, instant coffee, or commercial roasts, providing an economical, basic taste of Tanzania’s Robusta heritage.
