Kenya TT coffee consists of light, low-density beans separated from premium AA and AB grades during sorting, typically via air flotation or density tables. Sourced from Kenya’s highland SL28/SL34 varietals at 1,500-2,000m in volcanic soils, TT undergoes the same washed processing—depulping, 12-36 hour fermentation, and sun-drying—as higher grades. While less dense, it retains Kenya’s signature bright acidity, offering subdued notes of citrus, berry, or black tea with a lighter body. Scoring below 84 SCA, TT is considered lower quality, often used in blends or budget brews. It provides an accessible taste of Kenya’s vibrant profile at a reduced cost.
